Wherever possible each allotment in the area will have one or more "site representatives", who form part of the Bath & NE Somerset Allotment Association committee.
Contacting Site Representatives
Site representative contact details can be found on individual site noticeboards, or in the Association Newsletter that is sent to members 3 times per year.
Coming soon: we are working towards the ability of this website to show site representative contact information for recognised members of the Association.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of site representatives are:
- Getting to know the plot-holders on the site
- Making themselves accessible by placing contact details (including telephone number and plot number) on the site noticeboard
- Keeping the site noticeboard up to date
- Promoting membership of the Association and its related benefits
- Encouraging the use of the Trading Hut
- Fortnightly site maintenance inspections:
- Overgrown sites
- Sub-letting
- Overall site maintenance
- Sub-contractor issues
- Work with the Site Liasion Officer to resolve site issues
- To attend the Annual General Meeting and (where possible) the bi-monthly committee meetings
Note that site representatives are NOT responsible for:
- Fire
- Theft
- Plumbing
- Entrance difficulties
These isses should be reported directly to the Site Liasion Officer.
